چکیده
Anion exchange membrane fuel cells (AEMFCs) are important alternatives to proton (PEMFCs). However, AEMFCs involve slow hydrogen oxidation reaction (HOR) on the anode. Catalysts improve HOR were developed by control of ruthenium nanoparticle size, alloying with iridium, and surface modification metal nanoparticles, resulting in enhanced catalytic activity optimizing binding energy bifunctionality catalyst surface. Here, recent development anode catalysts for is reviewed.

The CO Poisoning Mechanism of the Hydrogen Oxidation Reaction in Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells
The CO tolerance mechanism of the hydrogen oxidation reaction was investigated on several highly dispersed carbon-supported nanocrystalline Pt and binary Pt alloys. For this purpose, current/potential behavior was derived from half-cells under actual proton exchange membrane fuel cell operating conditions and correlated with expressions derived from kinetic models. Kinetic analyses have shown t...

In the current work, graphene oxide (GO) samples were prepared at room temperature from graphite flakes using a modified Hummer's method to produce metal-free electrocatalysts. The effect of the duration of the oxidation process on the structural, chemical and physical characteristics of the GO samples was evaluated using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), ...

In present research work, anion exchange membranes based on quaternized polysulfone with ammonium cation moieties (QAPSF) were prepared by chloromethylation, amination and alkalization. The chloromethylated polysulfone were characterized by 1HNMR spectroscopy and functionalization degree was determined according to peak area integration. Ion transport properties (ionic conductivity, ion exchang...
متن کاملHybrid Anion and Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells
A novel hybrid fuel cell is described using at least one electrode operating at high pH in an effort to use the high conductivity of Nafion and exploit the electrochemical advantages of high-pH operation. The electrochemical behavior of a hybrid anion exchange membrane (AEM)/proton exchange membrane (PEM) junction and corresponding fuel cell are presented. Two AEM/PEM junctions and fuel cells h...
